📞Calls:
- volunteers-
- Young hawk in Davenport. Photos indicated a fledge, Colin went to check out and could not find the bird.
- Call about a baby bird in the middle of the road. Finder was concerned that if she touched it that the parents wouldn’t take care of it. I assured her she could move it.
- Baby deer in Iowa City, her dog chased it into a fence and now it was injured. I told her that it was illegal to rehab deer in Iowa. I advised her to call the police, sheriff or the DNR.
- Call from Ashtyn in Cedar Rapids, found a baby red shoulder hawk. She sent a photo, young coopers hawk, in the photo the baby looked healthy and alert. They went to get a box and when they came back the baby was gone.
- Charlis called about 3 baby ducks that she found in downtown IC. She drove them to our clinic, we were gone. She then drove to IC Animal Shelter. They then called us about the babies asking if we could take them.
- Calls from Tom and Eric - There was an eagle in their yard (Quad Cities), it tried to fly several times and was unable. They said they had been calling people all day and no one was responding. I called both of them and neither one of them returned my call. Tamara called me and she said that Eric called her back and they told her the eagle flew off.
